Lakeland 10 Highest Peaks Challenge – June 16th – 19th 2012

David Hargreaves & Rowland Harris will be taking part in a sponsored challenge in aid of PASH UK.

David & Rowland are hoping to attract sponsors for the challenge to raise money for PASH for a new Church Centre building project, which is in progress, and requires another £8000 to be found in order for it to be completed. It has now become a greater priority because the old church, which was in very poor condition structurally, collapsed in April 2012 due to high winds!!

The challenge ahead is to climb the Ten Highest Peaks in the Lake District on four consecutive days:

Day 1 – Scafell Pike (3210ft) Scafell (3162ft) and Great End (2984ft)
Day 2 – Helvellyn (3118ft) Nethermost Pike (2920ft) and Catstycam (2917ft)
Day 3 – Great Gable (2949ft) and Pillar (2927ft)
Day 4 – Skiddaw (3053ft) and Bowfell (2960ft)

Our personal targets are to complete the challenge and to see if we can raise £1000 each. We struggled through snow to the awesome summit of Ben Nevis in April to get in the mood!!

They will be posting on a blog during the challenge so you can follow their progress at https://www.pashuk.org.uk/category/lakeland-challenge
