The new church building, whilst not fully completed, was completed sufficiently to be opened & dedicated during December 2013.
The Kachieng community had been without a church since the original construction was destroyed in a storm in April 2012.
PASH UK would like to thank everyone who has contributed & supported events such as hiking sponsorships, concerts at St Peter’s, Littleover, garden parties & other fund raising events which has helped raise more than £10,000.00 over the past 2.5 years to enable the building to reach this stage.
At the end of September the St Peter’s Church, Littleover Hiking Group completed the Swaledale Challenge to hike to the source of the River Swale & further to the Nine Standards Rigg at the top of the pennine range in North Yorkshire.
Thank you for those who sponsored to raise £150.00.

The roof was completed on the 8th November 2013 using Cypress Tree timber & Risincott Maroon sheets which is the best quality in Kenya and should last many years.
The church can now be used for Sunday services and further work on doors, windows & plasterwork to be carried out in the coming weeks.
PASH members are delighted with their new church building & have agreed to call it ‘Kachieng All Saints Church’.

The Derby Constabulary choir, postponed because of bad weather in January, eventually went ahead in February.
Derbyshire Constabulary Choir Concert with PASH Helpers & two singers
The concert was a huge success & very entertaining; the choir & pianists performed really well & we had a good size audience who enjoyed the concert very much.
The amount raised through ticket sales & donations amounted to £1000.00, a fantastic result, so thanks to all who supported this event.
All the money will be used this time to purchase more roof timbers & construct the timbers on to the Kachieng Community Church Centre.
Unfortunately, the concert scheduled for January 18th is CANCELLED due to the bad weather.
The concert will hopefully be rescheduled for another date, to be announced.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
